A Very Real New World Order

It is hard to believe, but a majority of Americans (including Christians and conservatives) seem oblivious to the fact that there is a very real, very legitimate New World Order (NWO) unfolding. In the face of overwhelming evidence, most Americans not only seem totally unaware of this reality, they seem unwilling to even remotely entertain the notion.

On one hand, it is understandable that so many Americans would be ignorant of the emerging New World Order. After all, the mainstream media refuses to report, or even acknowledge, the NWO. Even “conservative” commentators and talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, or Joe Scarborough refuse to discuss it. And when listeners call these respective programs, these “conservative” hosts usually resort to insulting the caller as being some kind of “conspiracy kook.” One host even railed that if anyone questions the government line on 9/11, we should “lock them up and throw away the key.” So much for freedom of speech!

This is an area–perhaps the central area–where liberals and conservatives agree: they both show no patience or tolerance for anyone who believes that global government (in any form) is evolving. One has to wonder how otherwise intelligent and thoughtful people can be so brain dead when it comes to this issue. It makes one wonder who is really pulling their strings, doesn’t it?

The list of notable personalities who have openly referenced or called for some kind of global government or New World Order is extremely lengthy. Are all these people “kooks” or “conspiracy nuts”? Why would world leaders–including presidents, secretaries of state, and high government officials; including the media, financial, and political elite–constantly refer to something that doesn’t exist? Why would they write about, talk about, or openly promote a New World Order, if there is no such thing?

Many of us recall President George Herbert Walker Bush talking much about an emerging New World Order. For example, in 1989, Bush told the students of Texas A&M University, “Perhaps the world order of the future will truly be a family of nations.”

Later, Bush, Sr. said, “We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order . . .. When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.’s founders.”

Bush, Sr. also said, “What is at stake is more than one small country, it is a big idea–a new world order.”

Bush, Sr. further said, “The world can therefore seize the opportunity to fulfill the long-held promise of a new world order . . .”

What was President G.H.W. Bush talking about, if there is no such thing as an emerging New World Order? Was he talking out of his mind? Was he hallucinating?

England’s Prime Minister, Tony Blair, said, “We are all internationalists now, whether we like it or not.” He continued saying, “On the eve of a new Millennium we are now in a new world. We need new rules for international co-operation and new ways of organizing our international institutions.” He also said, “Today the impulse towards interdependence is immeasurably greater. We are witnessing the beginnings of a new doctrine of international community.”

In 1999, Tony Blair said, “Globalization has transformed our economies and our working practices. But globalism is not just economic. It is also a political and security phenomenon.”

What is Tony Blair talking about, if there is no emerging New World Order? What does he mean by “a new doctrine of international community”? What does he mean by “new world”? How can one have globalism, which includes “a political and security phenomenon,” without creating a New World Order? Is Tony Blair hallucinating?

Likewise, former President George W. Bush penned his signature to the Declaration of Quebec back on April 22, 2001, in which he gave a “commitment to hemispheric integration and national and collective responsibility for improving the economic well-being and security of our people.”

By “our people,” Bush meant the people of the Western Hemisphere, not the people of the United States. Phyllis Schlafly rightly reminded us that G.W. Bush “pledged that the United States will ‘build a hemispheric family on the basis of a more just and democratic international order.’”

Remember, too, that it was G.W. Bush who, back in 2005, committed the United States to the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), which is nothing more than a precursor to the North American Community or Union, as outlined in CFR member Robert Pastor’s manual, “Toward a North American Community.”

If there is no such thing as an emerging New World Order, what was G.W. Bush talking about when he referred to “a hemispheric family” and an “international order”?

The public statements of notable world leaders regarding an emerging New World Order are copious. Consider the statements of former CBS newsman, Walter Cronkite.

In his book, “A Reporter’s Life,” Walter Cronkite said, “A system of world order–preferably a system of world government–is mandatory. The proud nations someday will see the light and, for the common good and their own survival, yield up their precious sovereignty . . .” Cronkite told BBC newsman Tim Sebastian, “I think we are realizing that we are going to have to have an international rule of law.” He added, “We need not only an executive to make international law, but we need the military forces to enforce that law.” Cronkite also said, “American people are going to begin to realize that perhaps they are going to have to yield some sovereignty to an international body to enforce world law.”

If there is no emerging New World Order, what is Walter Cronkite talking about? Can there be any doubt that Cronkite is talking about global government? Absolutely not!

Now, when Bush, Sr. talks about fulfilling “the promise and vision of the U.N.’s founders,” he was talking about the same thing former UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali was talking about when he said, “The time for absolute and exclusive sovereignty . . . has passed.”

The United Nations has been on the forefront of promoting the New World Order agenda since its very inception. In 1995, the UN released a manual entitled, “Our Global Neighborhood.” It states, “Population, consumption, technology, development, and the environment are linked in complex relationships that bear closely on human welfare in the global neighborhood. Their effective and equitable management calls for a systematic, long-term, global approach guided by the principle of sustainable development, which has been the central lesson from the mounting ecological dangers of recent times. Its universal application is a priority among the tasks of global governance.”

If there is no emerging New World Order, what is “global governance” all about?

“Who are the movers and shakers promoting global government?” you ask. Obviously, it is the international bankers who are the heavyweights behind the push for global government. Remember, one cannot create a “global economy” without a global government to manage, oversee, and control it.

In a letter written to Colonel E. Mandell House, President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.”

“Old Hickory” did his best to rid the United States from the death grip that the international bankers were beginning to exert on this country. He may have been the last President to actually oppose the bankers. In discussing the Bank Renewal bill with a delegation of bankers in 1832, Jackson said, “Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time, and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out.”

Unfortunately, the international bankers proved themselves to be too formidable for President Jackson. And in 1913, with the collaboration of President Woodrow Wilson, the bankers were given charge over America’s financial system by the creation of the Federal Reserve.

Ever since the CFR and Trilateral Commission were created, they have filled the key leadership positions of government, big media, and of course, the Federal Reserve.

In his book, “With No Apologies,” former Republican Presidential nominee Barry Goldwater wrote, “The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power– political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical. What the Trilateral Commission intends is to create a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. As managers and creators of the system, they will rule the future.” Was Goldwater a prophet or what?

And again, the goals of the global elite have been publicly stated. Back in 1991, the founder of the CFR, David Rockefeller praised the major media for their complicity in helping to facilitate the globalist agenda by saying, “We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. . . . It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

How could Rockefeller be any plainer? He acknowledged the willful assistance of the major media in helping to keep the elitists’ agenda of global government from the American people. To this day, the major media has not deviated from that collaboration. And this includes the aforementioned “conservative” talking heads. They know if they want to keep their jobs, they dare not reveal the New World Order. The NWO, more than anything else, is the “Third Rail” to the national media.

Is it any wonder that President Barack Obama has stacked his government with numerous members of the CFR? Among these are Robert Gates, Janet Napolitano, Eric Shinseki, Timothy Geithner, and Tom Daschle. Other CFR members include CFR President Richard Haass, CFR Director Richard Holbrooke, and founding member of the Trilateral Commission and CFR member Paul Volcker. Obama even asked a CFR member, Rick Warren, to deliver the inaugural prayer.

Still not convinced? Just a few days ago, when asked by a reporter what he thought the most important thing was that Barack Obama could accomplish, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said, “I think his task will be develop an overall strategy for America in this period when, really, a New World Order can be created. It’s a great opportunity; it isn’t just a crisis.”

This is the same Henry Kissinger, you will recall, who said back in 1991, “Today, America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow, they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were [sic] an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.”

Even Gideon Rachman, the chief foreign affairs commentator for the Financial Times, wrote an editorial expressing his support for world government. In his column he said, “I have never believed that there is a secret United Nations plot to take over the US. . . . But, for the first time in my life, I think the formation of some sort of world government is plausible.

“A ‘world government’ would involve much more than co-operation between nations. It would be an entity with state-like characteristics, backed by a body of laws. The European Union has already set up a continental government for 27 countries, which could be a model. The EU has a supreme court, a currency, thousands of pages of law, a large civil service and the ability to deploy military force.

“So could the European model go global? There are three reasons for thinking that it might.”

Rachman then goes on to explain the reasons why he believes world government is plausible.

Do you now see why it does not matter to a tinker’s dam whether it is a Republican or Democrat who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? For the most part, both major parties in Washington, D.C., have been under the dominating influence of the international bankers who control the Federal Reserve, the CFR, and the Trilateral Commission. And this is also why it does not matter whether one calls himself conservative or liberal. For the most part, both conservatives and liberals in Washington, D.C., are facilitating the emerging New World Order. It is time we wake up to this reality.

Presidents Bush, Sr., Bill Clinton, and Bush, Jr. have thoroughly set the table for the implementation of the NWO, as surely as the sun rises in the east. All Obama has to do is put the food on the table–and you can count on this: Barack Obama will serve up a New World Order feast like you cannot believe!

That a New World Order is emerging is not in question. The only question is, What will freedom-loving Americans do about it? Of course, the first thing they have to do is admit that an emerging New World Order exists! Until conservatives, Christians, pastors, constitutionalists, and others who care about a sovereign, independent United States acknowledge the reality of an emerging New World Order, they will be incapable of opposing it. And right now, that is exactly what they are not doing.

Lying Politicians and the Rise of a Third Party

Constitution Party of Missouri

Today is the day. Coronation day…oops, I mean inauguration day 2009, the day this whole steaming mess is dropped into the lap of Barack Hussein Obama. He is already retracting many of the campaign promises he has made. He now admits that he won’t be able keep them due to the financial crisis and projected budget deficits. The very same financial crisis that was going on during his campaign. He knew all this before, he just could not admit it until he was elected. It’s bad strategy to be honest you know?

I sincerely hope you did not believe anything that was said by either candidate while they were out on the campaign trail during the 2008 election. By now you must realize that both major parties have the bait and switch down to a science. They simply tell the base of their party what they want to hear, then once they have them on board, they go out and promise the world to the rest of the voters. Of course neither side had any intention of keeping most of the things that were promised during the campaign. Its just not possible. So the charade goes on.

My question is, when will the American people wise up? How long will we continue to take this abuse from the two major parties? What will it take for the American people to elect a third party into power, one that truly represents the will of the people instead of the will of the globalists that have taken over both parties? Will it take a economic collapse or will the people wake up before that happens? We will soon find out.

There was only one political party out on the campaign trail in 2008 that put forth one of the most important questions of our time. That question was “are you an American, or are you a globalist”? That question was put forth by the Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin. Why is that such an important question? Because our nations sovereignty depends on the answer.

If our President is a globalist, he will join UN treaties that will take away our nations power to make its own decisions. Issues like the right to bear arms, the right to homeschool our children and the right to life among other issues. Regardless where you stand on these issues, I would hope that you would not want some world body making the decision for you. We need a President that is committed to America not the UN. We as citizens need to keep putting pressure on all our elected officials from the top down, reminding them that they are Americans first and that they better govern that way or they will be out of office next term.

I don’t believe that we can truly change the globalist ways of the Republican and Democratic parties with out voting them out of power. Both parties are masters at telling us what we want to hear and neither party can be trusted to tell the truth, so they just need to be voted out. The only way to do that is to vote in a third party candidate. The only viable third party that I can see right now is the Constitution Party. Its membership is growing by leaps and bounds, especially given the failures of the Democrats and Republicans. The Republicans and Democrats have brought this country to the edge of a financial collapse, and they did it arm in arm. Both parties continue to borrow and spend away our nations future. The only people who seem to make out on the deal is the corporations and bankers that flood our capital with lobbyists. Both parties are corrupt from the highest levels on down. The only way to get rid of the corruption is to get rid of the people involved in it.

Enter the Constitution Party. They promise to bring government back to the people, put America first and to restore our constitutional republic. Having met many people in the party I can confidently say that its not just rhetoric. The people in the Constitution Party (CP) are some of the most sincere and dedicated people I have ever met. They are not involved in the CP for power or personal gain. They are involved in the CP because they see the two major parties are destroying our nation and way of life both for us and our children. They plainly see that if someone does not step up to the plate and put a stop to this madness, our country will be headed for some real hard times and that it may not be the same country we all grew up in once we come out the other side.

We have seen what both the Republicans and Democrats can do (and its not pretty), now its time to see what a third party can do.

If the direction of our country concerns you, then I encourage you to check out the Constitution Party. I believe it will be the only party that can turn this country away from its current path of destruction that the two major parties have put us on.

Castle Offers Solutions For America’s Economic Woes

Nominee Sets Forth Bold Proposals To ”Unleash A New Era Of Innovation And Production” In America!

WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO SAVE THE AMERICAN ECONOMY?

by

Darrell L. Castle

Is the current tactic being employed to save the American financial system, the bailout, working? The answer to that question depends on your definition of the word “working”. If by “working” you mean the transferring of the nation’s wealth from working Americans to the bankers; the exponential accumulation of debt that must be repaid with interest by future generations; the destruction of the value of the dollar and with that destruction the lowering of the standard of living of working and retired Americans, creating the conditions that make martial law inevitable and with that declaration of martial law a world currency and world central bank; the nationalization of the American financial system; the ensconcing in positions of power, privilege, and dominance over the system of the very people who caused the crises in the first place, it has worked in spectacular fashion.

If you define “working” as ending the credit crises and freeing credit for business to put people back to work; allowing stable and profitable banks to emerge and lead the system back to stability; the avoidance of taxpayer money being used to pay huge bonuses and salaries to executives who have led their companies to failure; the avoidance of taxpayer money being used by banks to acquire stable, profitable companies including those not in the financial industry; avoidance of economic depression and with it the conditions of civil unrest and chaos, then it has been an abject failure.

The bailout and the coming economic stimulus follow what Keynesian economic theory dictates that we do. Keynesians believe that recessions are caused by a drop in aggregate demand. The Keynesian answer then is to increase demand by lowering interest rates. When interest rates are lowered to zero, which they now have been, without a corresponding increase in demand, it is because we are not squandering our money fast enough and thus the government must step in with a “stimulus” and squander it for us. This theory and tactic has worked in the past but will it work now? Not only will this tactic not work, it can’t work because for the first time in history debt, both public and private, has reached exponential growth. A problem caused by too much debt and credit that is too loose cannot be fixed by piling on more debt and more loose credit. More importantly, it can’t work because the underlying productive economy has been destroyed. Our manufacturing has been taken off shore to China, and Mexico. Our information technology has been taken off shore to India. Our financial system is obviously bankrupt.

Is there anything that can be done then to save this economy? Yes, there are many things that we could do which collectively would bring economic recovery very quickly.

  1. End The FED. Monetary reform and economic recovery are not possible unless Congress is able to recover its Constitutional authority over our monetary system. The growth of debt must be stopped and reversed, and the debt based system of monetary creation through interest bearing bank credit must be reversed if we are to recover. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 should be rescinded and the FED banks liquidated and their assets turned over to the US treasury. It would be acceptable for them to continue under a different name as independent clearinghouse banks. Once Congress regains its Constitutional authority over money, it could issue money based on the full faith and credit of the United States or said another way, based on the labor and productive capacity of the American people. This money and credit would keep the economy functioning and prevent depression while we transitioned from our present debt based system to the gold standard. Some type of income restitution should be considered to replace money stolen from the American people through the FED’s 95 years of fraud and theft. It could be called a negative income tax or income restitution, or simply a people’s dividend. This people’s dividend could be paid from Congress directly to the American people on a monthly basis for a temporary period of two years. The payments, which would assist with the government’s transition to a gold standard would replace much of our current welfare system and would go equally to all citizens who are eighteen years of age or older and who are not in prison, on parole or on probation. The two year time period would give Congress plenty of time for the transition as well as time to evaluate the dividend’s effectiveness.

  1. Withdraw From Both Wars Immediately. Our nation has never been able to pay for these wars except through massive debt or massive inflation. Immediate withdrawal would save at least a trillion dollars.

  1. Secure Our Borders. Securing our borders would relieve pressure on the social systems of state and local governments which are now asking for bailouts of their own. The Federal Government should perform its constitutionally mandated duty under Article 4, Section 4 and protect the states from invasion. All immigration, even legal immigration, should be stopped until our borders are secure and our social systems and economy are under control. Immigration laws should be enforced within the United States. This would save several hundred billion dollars per year.

  1. Repeal All So Called Free Trade Agreements Such As NAFTA, WTO, and GATT. These agreements serve the interests of international mega corporations and foreign governments at the expense of the American people by encouraging manufacturing jobs to locate off shore. These agreements also serve to destroy small farms and small businesses in favor of those same mega corporations thus rendering the American people dependent on the whims of government for the necessities of life. This would save several hundred billion dollars per year.

  1. Withdraw From All Foreign Alliances and International Organizations. These agreements and organizations such as the UN and NATO continually seek to destroy American sovereignty and tend to lead us into foreign wars that have little or nothing to do with the defense of America. A free and independent people should have no part in such agreements and organizations. This would save hundreds of billions of dollars per year and would allow for the rebuilding of our military for the true defense of the American people and our way of life.

  1. Close Down Much Of The Federal Government. Many federal departments such as the Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, and the Department of Commerce serve no useful purpose and should be closed and their assets liquidated and returned to the US treasury. The primary effect of these departments seems to be the increase of government power and control over the lives of the American people. This would save at least several hundred billion dollars per year.

  1. Abolish The IRS And The Income Tax. The cost saving ideas previously listed and discussed would allow for a balanced budget and the American economy would rebound very quickly. The government, then reduced to Constitutional size, could easily be funded by a small, non-punitive, tariff. There should be no direct federal tax on the American people. This would save untold amounts of money.

  1. Repudiate All Public Debt To The Banks. Public and private debt are very different in that a private debtor voluntarily pledges his own assets, income, etc. in return for a loan and thus the creditor foregoes the use of present money in expectation of being repaid with interest. A public debtor, on the other hand, pledges other people’s future income and assets which that public debtor must take from those people by force. None of them had direct say in the making of the debt. In addition, much public debt to the banks was incurred through fraud and extortion of the kind that occurred when Congress was intimidated into voting for the bailout with threats of civil unrest and martial law. These tactics would land most people in prison if used in private business deals. Foreign governments who hold American debt should be assured of repayment and their investments should be protected as much as possible thus foreign trade could continue and government could continue to be funded. There should be plenty of money available to redeem our bonds, etc. from foreign governments and this would have the additional benefit of reducing our dependence and vulnerability to blackmail.

  1. The Portion Of The Public Debt Owed To Other Federal Agencies Should Be Written Off. The federal government carries a large amount of debt owed to various departments of the Federal Government and this debt should be written of and stricken from the books.

If the Federal Government would take the steps outlined in this article the American economy would not only recover but would unleash a new era of innovation and production. Do Congress and the new President care enough about the American people, their lives, their families, their liberty, their security and their peace to do these things? So far the answer appears to be no, but time will tell. If the Federal Government were to take these steps, it should then back off and leave the economy alone. As someone once said, “there is no problem that government can’t make worse”. Personal and business debt would be shaken out through payment, write-offs, bankruptcy, and other methods. There would be a quick recovery and balance sheets would soon return to normal. Instead, our government has reduced interest rates to zero and will soon “stimulate” the economy with hundreds of billions of dollars of borrowed or created money which will make the problem worse, a lot worse. What happens when the government’s tactics do not work? Well, I suppose that is one reason why all those Federal troops have been assigned to Northern Command.

Final Day of Bush Presidency Cause For Celebration As Border Agents Win Freedom

Years of Grassroots Activism on Unjust Conviction, Imprisonment Leads to Vindication

Lancaster, PA, (January 19, 2009) The Constitution Party, the country’s fastest-growing party (www.ballot-access.org) joins with hundreds of thousands of Americans across party lines who are celebrating President Bush’s sentence commutations of U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.(http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/01/19/bush.commute/index.html)

“The Constitution Party fought hard to win these men their freedom”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. “The horrendous miscarriage of justice meted out to two men who were doing their job to keep the border secure must never be repeated,” Clymer added, saying, “We never gave up on these men. We made it a rallying cry from the moment this nightmare began for them.”

Ramos and Compean were sentenced to 11 and 12 years, respectively, for shooting at an armed, convicted drug dealer who had driven a cross the U.S./Mexico border with a van filled with drugs.

Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin , appearing on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight with Monic a Ramos, wife of imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-DyfFa0tZg) said, if elected, “ my first day in office will be Ramos and Compean’s last day in prison!”

Baldwin went on to say he would personally fire prosecutor Johnny Sutton for his part in putting these men behind bars.

Baldwin’s appearance on Lou Dobb’s Tonight was in conjunction with a National Press Club appearance in Washington, D.C., where former GOP presidential candidate Republican Congressman Ron Paul (TX) called for all liberty-minded Americans to vote for a third-party candidate.) http://onekit.enr-corp.com/1004422/index.html)

Rep. Paul endorsed Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin .

“We are thankful Ignacio and Jose will soon be able to put this horrific experience behind them,” said Clymer. “Let’s hope their story serves to remind us that Americans’ rights are vanishing all in the name of promoting a political agenda that both the Republicans and Democrats are pushing. Nothing can give these men the years they lost behind bars, but hopefully, their story will continue to outrage and lead to action!” Clymer added.

Best And Worst Of 2008

January 6, 2009

With 2008 just concluded, today’s column will be my analysis of the best
and
worst of the year just spent. First, the best: my wife, Connie, and our
family. As the Constitution Party candidate for President, I logged more
than 30,000 miles and visited more than 30 states. I traveled most of those
miles alone–as costs prohibited my wife from traveling with me–and most
flights were flown in the coach cabin. In fact, my wife and I were apart
more last year than the previous 34 years of married life combined. Needless
to say, I am not cut out to be a traveling salesman. The time away from home
was extremely difficult.

I am grateful to God for giving me the outstanding family I have. Connie is
amazing! And our three grown children (Sarah, Chris, and Tim) and their
spouses (Allan, Jana, and Jennifer) are absolutely the greatest. Each one of
them is a champion-patriot in his or her own right. They love God; they love
freedom; they love their parents and each other; they are independent
thinkers and courageous Christians. We are as close a family as one will
ever find. They are my best and closest friends.

Those faithful members of Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida who
prayed for me, stood by me, and supported me during a grueling campaign
certainly make it to my “best” list for 2008. When I first announced
the
invitation and opportunity that had been afforded me to become an
Independent candidate for President to my church family, several families
walked out the back door. Some of these folks were “friends” for many
years.
Fortunately, however, the vast majority of my church family remained
steadfast and unmovable. Try to imagine a church anywhere else in America
that would stand by and support a pastor, as he takes a “sabbatical”
to run
for President. Most churches today will not even tolerate a pastor who
dares to take a stand for anything controversial. The faithful stalwarts at
Crossroad Church make my “best” list.

Actually, there were many highlights of 2008. The many friends and
supporters I met around the country have to make my “best” list, for
sure.
The many LDS folks who supported me in Utah and surrounding states were a
real highlight. People such as Frank Fluckiger, Scott Bradley and Matt
Moody, to name a few.

The great folks who hosted Connie and I in Spokane, Washington, (yes, Connie
was able to make this trip with me) make it to my “best” list. I am
talking
about Bob Peck and his entire team. They were terrific.

The guys out in California, who helped provide the VIP tour of America’s
busiest immigration port near San Diego for me, also make my “best”
list for
2008. In addition to the legal border crossing at San Ysidro, they also took
me out into the California desert in 110-degree heat to take a firsthand
look at the real border. However bad you may think our illegal immigration
problem is, it is ten times worse than that. I was able to meet with Border
Patrol agents and Border Patrol Auxiliary personnel, as well. It was a real
education. Thanks are especially due to retired Air Force Master Sergeant
(and retired Deputy Sheriff) Larry Breazeale.

Perhaps the most fascinating man I got to know last year was retired Air
Force Brigadier General Charles Jones. What an amazing man! We have become
fast friends. Getting to know the general was one of the “best”
events of
2008, for sure.

>From an organizational perspective, Thom Holmes, out there in Okalahoma, was
probably the most indispensable and valuable asset to my campaign last year.
He kept my travel and hotel itinerary intact for me. He was on top of every
detail. I could not have done it without him. Of course, Darrell Castle was
a terrific running mate and a first class gentleman. Joe Sanger in Michigan,
and Lowell and Bethany Patterson in New Jersey were also able and
indispensable associates.

Lou Dobbs makes my “best” list for 2008, as well. He was the one
major
television talk show host who was willing to have me as a guest on his
program. It is not surprising that Lou Dobbs was about the only notable
television talk show host during 2008 who was willing to confront the truth
regarding a host of issues: from the North American Union, to illegal
immigration, to Ramos and Compean, to the criminal international bankers.
Thanks, Lou.

Close to the top of my “best” list is Congressman Ron Paul. What a
terrific
champion for freedom and constitutional government he is! I was able to get
to know Ron quite well during the campaign, and was both humbled and honored
when he publicly endorsed my candidacy. Thank you, Ron. You are the best man
we have on Capitol Hill.

South Carolina senatorial candidate, Bob Conley, also makes my “best”
list
of 2008. Here was a guy who was willing to take on the neocon senator,
Lindsey Graham. Had he had the support of the so-called conservative
Christians, he would have won. But most conservative Christians are so
myopic and uninformed today that they cannot think outside the box. And
because Bob ran as a Democrat, they would not support him. What a shame! Bob
was as solid a constitutionalist patriot as one will ever find. You did us
all proud, Bob.

In the print media, Bob Dill, who publishes the Times Examiner in
Greenville, South Carolina, makes it to my “best” list, as well. Bob
represents the shrinking number of courageous publishers who know what’s
going on and are not afraid to print the truth.

Speaking of South Carolina, Dorchester County Sheriff Ray Nash also makes it
to my “best” list for 2008. I first met Ray on the campaign trail in
the
Palmetto State and then invited him to be our guest speaker for our God and
Country Day on Election Sunday, November 4. He brought a magnificent
address. I was so impressed with his presentation that we made copies and
sent them to every elected official in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in
Florida. You can view Sheriff Nash’s video presentation at
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/Sheriff-Nash.html .

The opportunity I had to speak at the 50th Anniversary of the John Birch
Society in Appleton, Wisconsin also makes my “best” list for 2008.
John
McManus and Art Thompson were gracious hosts and have become good friends.
The Birch Society is one of the bright spots in America today. No
organization has been more unduly criticized as the John Birch Society. And
yet, their commitment to liberty and constitutional government has never
waned. My hat is off to them.

The New American magazine is still the finest news publication in America.
Year in and year out, TNA is the best.

Speaking at the Indianapolis Baptist Temple (IBT) in Indianapolis, Indiana
also needs to be included in my “best” list of 2008. It was a
pleasure to be
with Dr. Greg Dixon, his son, Pastor Greg Dixon, and Dr. Don Boys again. The
IBT has gone through more tribulation than most churches can possibly
imagine (at least those in America), and they are still going strong. What a
great congregation of dedicated and determined believers! They remind me of
courageous Christians from yesteryear. I was honored to speak before them.

Internet publishers such as Paul Walter make my “best” list, too.
Paul
publishes News With Views. He and people such as Jim Rudd at Covenant News
have carried my columns for years. These are men who also know what’s going
on and are not afraid to print the truth. Thanks, guys.

Other web sites that were especially beneficial to patriots in 2008 were
World Net Daily, VDARE, Freedom’s Phoenix, Renew America, and Gary
Shumway’s
Red Pills. In Pensacola, my friend, Mike West, at Gulf1, was the man who
first got me thinking about publishing a column such as this. Thanks for the
idea, Mike.

Without these (and other) great Internet news sites, the American people,
for the most part, would not have convenient access to the truth. Most of
the major media and major “conservative” radio talk shows today are
little
more than lackeys for New World Order Republicans, and are therefore
worthless to the cause of liberty.

In addition to the mainstream media, and worthless talk show hosts such as
Sean Hannity, I must include the majority of so-called leaders within the
Religious Right as making my “worst” list for 2008. I include James
Dobson,
Pat Robertson, and Tony Perkins on this list.

For all intents and purposes, the Religious Right has become nothing more
than a gaggle of glorified hacks for the Republican Party. They have
sacrificed virtually every principle worth defending. For the sake of
sitting at the king’s table, or not losing financial support from
brain-dead
contributors, these men have sold the cause of freedom and constitutional
government down the river. Their mindless support for John McCain was
inexcusable and embarrassing! In so doing, they have lost all credibility.

Also making my “worst” list in 2008 are the many pastors and church
members
around the country who continued to support one of the worst Presidents in
American history: George W. Bush. This man has taken America to the
precipice of financial ruin; he has created the foundation for a police
state; he has trampled the Constitution and Bill of Rights like no President
since Abraham Lincoln; he has used our bravest and best for his sinister
plans of interventionist adventurism; he has set the wheels of global
government and national socialism in motion, as has no other President (I’m
sure Barack Obama will do more than his share to augment socialism in the
United States, but remember, it is George W. Bush that has laid the
foundation for the acceptance of national socialism). I’m not sure that
America will ever truly recover from his Presidency. Yet, a majority of
conservative pastors and church members continue to idolize George Bush.
What an embarrassment!

Both the Democrat and Republican Parties make my “worst” list for
2008. In
one year, both major parties nominated two men, neither of whom was
constitutionally qualified to be President of the United States. Now,
that’s
quite a feat!

The Council on Foreign Relations, international bankers, and other global
elitists also make my “worst” list for 2008. When will the people of
America
awaken to the reality that our worst enemies are not “liberals” and
“leftists,” as much as they are the global elitists who control the
Federal
Reserve and other internationalist entities that are committed to
dismantling America’s independence and sovereignty?

Notable deaths that contributed to the down side of 2008 include veteran
radio broadcaster George Putnam. I wrote a column eulogizing George shortly
after his death in September. Read it at
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2008/cbarchive_20080923.html

Other folks I hated to see leave us were Bob Jeter, cornerback from the
championship teams of the 1960s Green Bay Packers; Ivan Dixon, from the old
Hogan’s Heroes TV sitcom; famed actor and NRA president Charlton Heston;
Eddy Arnold, the great country-western singer; Dick Martin, from the old
Rowan and Martin TV comedy show; the hilarious Harvey Korman; the great
freedom fighter, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn; the never-equaled voice of “In a
world” announcer, Don LaFontaine; “Cool Hand Luke” Paul Newman;
and actor
Van Johnson, who starred in over 100 movies, and I don’t think I ever saw a
bad one.

Finally, my beloved Green Bay Packers make my “worst” list for 2008
for
shoving Brett Favre out the door for what was certainly his last NFL season.
As a result, the Pack went from a 13-3 playoff team to a 6-10
stay-home-and-watch team. Favre should have finished his hall of fame career
in Green Bay. That he didn’t is a shame.

There you have it: my best and worst of 2008. I trust that all of us will
truly have a Happy New Year!
