Constitution Party Hosts Arizona Sheriff Mack and Minuteman, Capt. Ed Hayes, in St. Louis area on October 2

By: Donna Ivanovich, State Chair
Constitution Party of Missouri

The Constitution Party will be hosting an event open to the public featuring keynote speaker, author, and former Graham County Arizona County Sheriff, Richard Mack, at the Banquet Center, 8721 Commercial Blvd. (Hwy 61-67), in Pevely, MO (Jefferson County) on Saturday, October 2nd.

Admission is $15/person, which includes a delicious dinner. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

All Missouri County Sheriffs are invited and will receive a complimentary, autographed book by Mack, “County Sheriff, America’s Last Hope”.

Former Minuteman and retired Law Enforcement Officer from a Kansas Sheriff’s Department and member of the Oath Keepers, Captain Ed Hayes, will address the issue of violent crime and drug and human trafficking caused by the illegal invasion from our southern border. His presentation will include political corruption American style and the history and update on the national memorial project for the “Victims of Illegal Alien Crimes”.

For those not familiar with Sheriff Mack, during his tenure as a county sheriff, federal officials had informed the sheriffs of Arizona that they would be required to enforce the so-called Brady Bill and run background checks at their expense under the law. In 1994, Mack and six other sheriffs from across the country, challenged the constitutionality of the Brady Bill and, ultimately, fought it all the way to the United States Supreme Court. In a landmark 5-4 split decision, based upon the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, Mack won his case, which was a monumental decision for freedom and states rights.

He will discuss proof positive how the individual states can rise up against the onslaught of federal tyranny and abuses by our un-principled, out-of-control federal government that is rapidly destroying our Republic.

At their fall 2009 National Committee meeting in Phoenix, AZ, the Constitution Party unanimously passed a Resolution urging its state party affiliates to request all their respective State County Sheriffs to endorse the procedure of Sheriff Mack and thereby reject all present and future un-constitutional mandates.

The Constitution Party is the only political party in America that affirms the integrity of our international borders and the constitutional authority and duty of the federal government to guard and to protect those borders, including the regulation of the numbers and of the qualifications of immigrants into the country. Further, they oppose the extension of any amnesty to illegal aliens, which displaces American workers with foreign.

Right now, it is vital that we restore the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. The greatest threat we face today is not terrorists but rather from our own federal government. If America is conquered or ruined, it will be from within, not by a foreign enemy.

The founders of our nation were afraid of one thing more than any other…a centralized government having too much power! Remember, our founders escaped from the tyranny of an oppressive and controlling government when they established this nation. They fought and died for it, and now we are letting the same freedoms our founders fought and died for slip away at an amazingly rapid pace.

It does not matter which of the 2 major parties is in power because the fight is not between Republican and Democrat, the left and the right; conservative and liberal, but rather between the people of this country versus the powerful, banking corporate elite, who have taken over both parties in Washington. America is being controlled by globalists and socialists, who align themselves with both major parties. These people must be stopped and replaced with Constitution Party candidates!

Mark your calendar NOW to hear Sheriff Richard Mack and Capt. Ed Hayes in Pevely. Mack is a powerful and experienced speaker, and a strong advocate of states’ rights and individual freedoms. Hayes is experienced on the border and knowledgeable about illegal immigration and its effects on American citizens.

This event will be an opportunity to meet other Constitution Party candidates, including Nick Ivanovich for U.S. Congress, District #3 opposing Democrat incumbent, Russ Carnahan, and Richard Blowers for State Representative #102 opposing Democrat incumbent, Jeff Roorda.

If you have a friend or relative in another part of Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, or any other state for that matter, invite them to hear Sheriff Mack and Capt. Hayes at this event. For additional information about Sheriff Mack and Capt. Hayes, visit their websites at www.sheriffmack.com or www.fncic-voiacm.org

RSVP to DonnaIvanovich@yahoo.com. Deadline to RSVP is 5:00 pm Monday, Sept. 20.

Payment: CASH ONLY at the door. Advance payment can be made on-line via PayPal

Where I stand

I am Pro-Life.

I am for repealing “Free Trade” agreements. We should use the constitutional protections in Article 1, Section 8, to grow our economy. All trade agreements must be negotiated by Congress in accordance with Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution and not by the World Trade Organization in the UN, and then rubber-stamped by our representatives in Congress.

I am for secure borders. We should strongly oppose those who want to come here illegally and undermine our work force and threaten our national security.

I am for a strong military for the sole purpose of national defense in accordance with our Constitution.

I am for free market principles. Bad management and bad investments should not be rewarded or bailed-out with tax dollars, ever.

I am for constitutionally limited federal government. The “commerce clause” does not give the federal government a blank check to do whatever they please.

I am for strong state and local governments. State and local governments can best determine what is needed in their communities.

I am for returning to the states, public land currently held by the Federal Government. The Federal Government should only hold the land specifically described in the Constitution.

I am for the repeal of the 16th Amendment.

I am for the repeal of the 17th Amendment.

I am for changing the 14th Amendment so children born of illegal immigrants are not automatically granted United States citizenship.

I am for energy independence.

I am for term limits for every elected federal office. Serving the people is a temporary privilege and should never become a career that excludes everything else.

I am for the elimination of Congressional retirements and pensions.

I am for drug testing of every elected or appointed official at the local, state and federal levels of government. The people who represent us should meet the same standards as employees at Home Depot, Wal-mart or the military.

I am for ending foreign aid. Since the end of WWII, we have provided something for nothing to nations that refuse to pull themselves up on their own or to nations that export only hate and violence. Nations around the world have forgotten how to be civil and live peacefully with one another unless the American taxpayer subsidized their good behavior. Foreign aid must end.

I am for a national water policy that helps to control flooding and drought. I propose we build a water system that transfers an over abundance of water in one area to areas in our nation with less water. To accomplish this, we should build more dams, canals, reservoirs and pipelines to move water where it is needed and reduce the catastrophic impact in areas where there is an over abundance or under abundance. We should work to control the flooding of our valuable farmlands, towns and cities and the subsequent loss of billions of dollars in damage, year after year.

I am for personal responsibility and accountability. We must do what is constitutional, not what is popular, easy or convenient. We must return to the values of self-sufficiency and independence and we should expect the same of others.

Greg Cowan
Constitution Party Patriot and Candidate for Missouri’s 4th District
