Dennis Hustead
Phelps County is home to Pastor Dennis
Hustead. Service is a way of life for this native-born Missourian. Now
Dennis seeks to serve the Rolla, St. James, Newburg, Doolittle area as the
State Representative of the 149th District. Dennis has served on
the Board of Directors for the Eureka Springs and Branson Lodging
Association and on the Eureka Springs Holiday Promotion Committee. He was
also a member and past Vice President of the Eureka Springs Kiwanis Club.
For nine years, Dennis was on the Republican Party County Board and was an
election official. Over the years, he’s received numerous sales and
management awards. Currently Dennis is the
Senior Pastor of Fort Wyman Baptist Church. He’s past president of the
Rolla Area Ministerial Alliance, of which he’s still a member. He’s also
on the Phelps County Community Partnership Advisory Committee. Recreation time for
Dennis means the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and golfing
are all things that he loves to do. He’s also a big baseball fan. Dennis and his wife,
Gail, have raised a family of four (three sons and a daughter). They are
also blessed with three grandchildren. Dennis looks forward to
a future of more service. That service includes being a voice for true
conservatism: “I strongly believe in the principles and
faith that our great nation was founded on. I have been a conservative
Republican since 1972. I have seen that party go from a great institution
unto what it is today. In the year 2000 I had first read the platform of
the Constitution Party and thought it an honorable mission statement and
party declaration. I believe every word of that declaration and agree
strongly with the party itself. I told all of my conservative brothers
that if the Republican Party moved any closer to the left I was leaving.
It did and I joined the party of the future for our country. I am running
for office to further stress the point and to serve with the wisdom and
talent God has given me.”
