Unite on the Constitution to Save the PreBorn

This morning I wrote to Jay Ashcroft, Missouri Secretary of State, sending him, by email, the following message entitled,


Protect Life by Enforcing the Constitution


This was precipitated by the elections that took place in Ohio yesterday in which the initiative petition process wiped away the protections for the unborn.  If you take an opportunity to read the letter, you will understand the context of what happened and what ought to be done.


What happened in Ohio is a bellwether for Missouri.  We have watched liberty take cover under our current initiative petition process.  I inferred to Secretary Ashcroft that the process - at the least - ought to be modified to mirror that of how amendments are made to the Constitution of the United States.


In any case, the primary purpose of this message is for you to know, that the Republic needs you - and now!


America needs citizens, now, who can no longer be silent and can no longer be idle.  Isn’t that you?  Everybody is telling you about the issues.  Who’s got solutions?  WE DO!

An Open Letter to Tucker Carlson!
Is America Supposed to be a Democracy?

candidate for United States Senate, answers this question for Tucker!

Hey Tucker...

I’m reaching out to you because America needs your help.

First, allow me to compliment your courage and fortitude in reporting truth that most other journalists dare not touch.  Your love for America and your passion for striking at the root of any issue is evident and your audience, including myself, rewards you for it by tuning in to Tucker Carlson Tonight.

While it may not have been readily apparent during our lifetimes, the last few years have offered the stark realization that something is deeply awry in the world and especially in America.  The real virus we are suffering from is not C O V I D – 1 9, but the COMMAND-AND-CONTROL VIRUS that has infected governments worldwide and has become entrenched in our own.

While I may be just a common citizen of little consequence, I am reaching out to you for your help because my urgent concern is something that you alone can address.

Tucker, as words are your stock and trade, I ask you to consider communicating with more precision on the use of one word: democracy.  America needs your help to disabuse your audience of this unproductive, dangerous and pernicious concept and even invite them to help you spread a more accurate message.

While you can be distinguished as an anomaly among mainstream media journalists, you inexplicably fall in line with this aspect of the language, constantly referencing our “democracy” and our need to defend such.  While you use the word “democracy” fairly loosely and liberally in your broadcasting, the liberal faction of the broadcast media uses this word with precision.  Again, my plea to you, is to do the same, but in so doing, to expose its real meaning and the dangers it poses to restoring Liberty in America.

While I expect that you are well read, yet, you may not have come across this quote from Plato’s Republic,

“And so tyranny naturally rises out of democracy.”

…or these words from James Madison, considered the father of the Constitution from Federalist #10.

“…democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”

He continues

“Theoretic politicians, who have patronized this species of government, have erroneously supposed that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would, at the same time, be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions, and their passions.”

Doesn’t this sound familiar… like the very things we are experiencing in our day?

Our second President, John Adams was no less animated about the failings of democracy.  Sharing his words from a letter to John Tayler, he said:

“Remember Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes exhausts and murders itself. There never was a Democracy Yet, that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to Say that Democracy is less vain, less proud, less selfish, less ambitious or less avaricious than Aristocracy or Monarchy. It is not true in Fact and no where appears in history.”
Finally, while this quote has been attributed to Benjamin Franklin, even if he didn’t say it, it is no less accurate.

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner…”

This latter quote goes to the heart of why democracy is an undesirable proposition.  Why is it that democracy is not what the Founders intended?  Why is it that we pledge allegiance to the flag, but not “…and to the democracy for which it stands?”

The simplest answer is that democracy is majority rule, fifty percent, plus one – and in this kind of government, the rights of the minority can be, and are eventually, overthrown.  Another term for it can be – mob rule.

So Tucker… JUST. STOP. IT!

If not a democracy, then, what have we?

Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in the Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” – [emphasis added]

While saying that we have a “republic” would be a simpler and somewhat more accurate description of how our government structure is organized, we in America have something that is unique among the governments of the world, and even others which include “Republic” in their names.  We have –

“…a hybrid Constitutional Republic with a very unique form of republicanism.

“Our form of government is to be republican (representative in form) and democratic (the people are to vote for their [local] representatives).”
This allows for

  1. A diffusion of power;

  2. A moderating influence against extreme positions;

  3. A structure that protects the rights of the minority;

  4. Governing influenced by the People at the most local level.

Understanding our true form of government allows us to use the tools that the Constitution offers We the People and the several States to solve every problem that is plaguing American today.  EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!

So again, are the members of Congress and the mainstream press either ignorant of this distinction or deliberately hiding it?  Maybe someone, somehow, is attempting to impose a democracy on We the People of the United States.

We have been conditioned in the last many decades that we need to…

  • “Save our democracy;”

  • Export democracy around the world (even, if sometimes necessary, at the point of a gun?);

  • Fight against those things that are “dangerous to our democracy!

NOTHING could be FURTHER from the TRUTH!

Tucker, you have done well to embody the mission of your Alma Mater, Trinity College:

“We believe in transcending boundaries. Defying standard definitions. Staying true to ourselves, and going our own way.”

In so doing, you have been – and are currently – in the right position, “…for such a time as this.”  So now, Tucker, we are returning to why America needs your help.  It is up to those of us who Dare to be American to disabuse the public mind on what America is and what form of government we have.  The unfortunate truth in our nation today is that democracy is what the enemies of Liberty are seeking.

I appeal to you to use your influence in this effort to Advance the Cause of Liberty and invite our fellow Americans to Reclaim the Republic.

It is said, that…

“An honest, but mistaken man, once shown the truth, either ceases to be mistaken or ceases to be honest.”

So Tucker… What say ye?

The HIDDEN Words of the Declaration


Dear Friends of Liberty…

On this day, 244 years ago, a nation was born out of hardship and struggle, recognizing that there are inherent rights that are a gift of providence that are as outside of the control of government as the difference between the daylight is from the dark night.  Liberty cannot exist in the same place at the same time as tyranny and so our nation's founders, after repeated pleas for redress and relief, finally felt compelled to throw off the tyranny by force.

Is there not a desire for freedom in every man and woman?  You cannot deny this, for it is inherent.  We learn, starting at birth to move and express and grow within the world around us, but we eventually grow out of smaller shoes, clothing, ideas and practices until we seek to make our own way.  It is inherent.  We do not, by nature, want to be controlled but seek personal independence.  Eventually, we leave father and mother, to make our own way and so it was with the thirteen colonies which, as the Treaty of Paris declares...

“His Brittanic Majesty acknowledges the said United States, viz., New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, to be free sovereign and Independent States;”

…which is in ascent to these words from the Declaration

“That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do.”

But dear fellow Citizen, this information is not unknown to you.  Independence Day has become tradition with remembrance of the concepts and pronouncements of freedom and patriotism.  What appears to be misunderstood or sometimes even maligned is the mission of the endeavor… that there might be on this land, not a nation subject to a king, but a Nation of Kings, a land of freedom on which the inhabitants might enjoy liberty so unfettered that it had previously and only been considered the benefit of those who claimed the divine right of kings.

Our internal struggles over time and even now are missing this concept and there are those among us who would claim this to be a land still subjugated by free, white men, founded on racist documents and principles.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

The sentiments and urgency during the times of the revolution had an effect in ways that are not well known today.  It would then be instructive to share them now.  There are words from the original draft of The Declaration of Independence that did not make it into the final document.  They’ve been hidden from the dialogue of a day when they may be found useful.  They are shared here for context and the entire draft document can be read at the Library of Congress website, HERE.

Speaking of the grievances against King George were these words, probably removed at the insistence of the slaveholding states, which are not in our current version of The Declaration:

“…he has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating it's most sacred rights of life & liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere, or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. this piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the CHRISTIAN king of Great Britain. determined to keep open a market where MEN should be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or to restrain this execrable commerce: and that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us, and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them, & murdering the people upon whom he also obtruded them; thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people, with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of another.”

This last grievance was removed from the version we currently have, but shows clearly the understanding of the Founders who sacrificed so much for what we have today and that they were enemies to slavery, the antithesis of liberty, a condition that because these very men were born into the practice, and because of their revulsion to it, they exercised the vision to eventually have it come to an end.  That we may have more work to do is unquestionable, but that it is not doable, is questionable.

We can find as many reasons to be divided as there are politicians and globalists to divide us.  Or – we can come together as Americans and recognize that we are united by a common, inherent desire for Liberty, and that we have – united together – the power and tools to subjugate those forces that would subvert it.
